Online platform for social media and business networks for outdoor tourism in Piedmont
DMO Piemonte Marketing Scrl, part of the Piedmont Regional Government and Unioncamere, aims to improve tourism and agri-food products for the Culture, Tourism and Agriculture Regional Departments. They participated in 2 EU framework projects PITEM MITO Outdoor and OUTDOOR DATA focused on a strategy for sharing knowledge, tools, and resources, related to sport and leisure tourism. Based on the needs of these projects VisitPiemonte has decided to equip itself with a web-based business social networking platform to manage Piedmont’s open-air tourism chain and improve the management of tourism information for outdoor activities.
The TOUMAKE platform owned by Target Euro allows destinations to:
- ACQUIRE, MANAGE, and SHARE information from all businesses in the tourism supply chain.
- ORGANIZE the management of the different elements that make up the target ecosystem (user profiles/functions/data / etc … management) simply and effectively.
- KNOW about events and activities proposed by tourism businesses in real-time.
- MONITOR data flow evolution and accelerate the exchange of experiences.
