Revision of the Tourism National Strategy for the Dominican Republic

The objective of this consultancy was to reposition the Dominican Republic by opening up new market niches complementary to the “Sun and Beach” offer and promote tourism based on the wealth and importance of the historical-cultural heritage and social inclusion. Actions have been carried out to boost the competitiveness of tourism sector, through the diversification of the current offer through satisfying high-spending demand segments, generating greater benefits for the local population and reducing pressure on the coast. The specific objective of this Consultancy was to increase the income and employment generated by tourism in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo through the development of tourism products with high competitive potential.
