Multilateral investment fund: sustainable tourism as a development strategy cluster

Four tourism development programs were identified to be financed by the IDB, 3 programs at the national level and one for regional tourism.

  1. Bolivia, Argentina, Paraguay: “Tourist Route of the Jesuit Missions”. The organization of a Tourist Product Club.
  2. Guatemala: “Festival of Mayan Culture.” Promoting the development of ethnic tourism in Guatemala involving local communities.
  3. Jamaica: “Development of the competitiveness of Tourism PMIs in Jamaica” The identification of a development strategy to improve the quality of services offered in small hotels.
  4. Venezuela: “Pilot Project of best practices of Sustainable Tourism: Quality, Competitiveness and Sustainability of PMI “Turisticas de Venezuela”
