Assistance with the implementation of ‘Best Practices’ for Tourist businesses for the “Misiones Jesuíticas de Chiquitos”. – Bolivia 2011

This consisted of technical assistance for the implementation of ‘Best Practices’ for at least 150 businesses  and/or key public and private sector players in the “Misiones Jesuíticas de Chiquitos” through the following actions:

  

 

 

 

  • defining and developing a methodology that could be easily repeated, to help these businesses/ key players which allowed for the implementation of short term tourist products, through the participation of local public and private sector players.
  • Establishing  and implementing, with the help of key players,  ‘Best Practices’ for services linked with the important tourist products.
  • Sustaining the strengthening and consolidation of the more important products.

 

 

 

Services Rendered:

 

  • Identify and define the role and activities of the key players through detailed analysis of the information available , meetings and interviews.
  • Identification of service providers and other key players.
  • Development of a methodology that can be easily repeated, to spread between the different beneficiaries.
  • Organization of local committees at council borough and pole level.
  • Identification of providers of tourism services
  • Assistance days for businesses/public and private sector figures.
  • Application of the necessary tools for strengthening priority products.
  • Awareness campaigns and training for craftsmen, tourist guides, mechanics, hotels, farmers and other players linked with the priority products.
  • Meetings and possible agreements with ‘ interested financial backers’.
  • Collaboration and back up for the Executive Unit for the project.
